A Note From the Editor

For those of your that missed it on our Facebook page, I announced this year's second HUGE announcement!  On May 20th Macaroni Kid League City/Clear Lake will be turning 2 years old!  We are planning a huge birthday bash at Perry YMCA that will include a free concert by Laughing Pizza, a bake sale to support Cookies for Kids' Cancer, a Vendor Fair, and much more!  I am thinking it will be from 2pm-6pm, but would love to hear your thoughts on the time... please comment below!  We are so excited to throw a first class event right here in League City!  If you are interested in being in the vendor fair, being on the planning committe, or helping to sponsor the event, please contact me at lindsayf@macaronikid.com.

My kids are different people and because of that we have to parent them differently. This was something I realized as my son has gotten older. What worked for our daughter sure doesn’t work for him. Parenting isn’t something that is black or white as we all know but more of lots of grey areas that we have to deal with when it comes to our kids.

Youth Art Classes  

Mixed Media Classes : Discover new and unusual painting techniques such as scratching and washes. Experiment with dry brushes and crosshatch. Explore collage with tissue paper, and much more. Come see what you can create! Classes will consist of 12 weekly sessions. Classes are lead by certified art instructor. All art supplies will be provided.

Armand Bayou Nature Center's newest educational programs, Mommy and Me classes, provide a fun introduction to animals, plants, and other nature topics.  Classes use literature, music, movement, storytelling, art, live animal demonstrations, games, and use of the five senses to make nature come alive.
